Ísafjarðarbær municipality consists of Ísafjörður town and other smaller villages named Hnífsdalur, Suðureyri, Flateyri, and Þingeyri. Ísafjörður has a suburb fjord scenery and is a great base for a few days' stay. Many activities and guided tours are available like hiking in Hornstrandir, Sea Angling, kayaking, other boat tours, and many more sightseeing activities. The main route between Ísafjörður and Hólmavík lies through Ísafjarðardjúp fjord, while a lonely coast road winds through the fjords. On the way, you will pass many interesting sites and we recommend you take the time to stop at least once in each fjord.
